Board Chairman of Legon Cities and Member of Council of State, Richard K. Atikpo has extended a kind gesture to the Muslim community in the Region.
At a brief ceremony held at Ahamansu in the Kadjebi District, he presented assorted drinks, cow, bags of rice, cooking oil, noodles, biscuits and an unspecified amount of money.
The presentation was done on behalf of the board chairman by the Communications Manager of the Club Kwame Dwomoh-Agyemang.
It was his token to support the Muslim community in the region who are currently fasting in the month of Ramadan and will end it on 12th May,2021.
According to the representative of the board chairman, Kwame Dwomoh-Agyemang the donation was part of giving back to the society and also to help the spiritual journey of our Muslim brothers and sisters.
The items was received by the Regional Chief Imam of the area, Salihu Yussif who thanked the Council of State member for his kind gesture and assured that the items will reach their intended targets.
He also called on the Legon Cities board chairman to help them construct an Islamic Secondary School and also provide scholarship for needy students.
