Argentina boss Edgardo Bauza admitted that he was 'surprised' by how much Lionel Messi knows about football and said that 'nothing escapes' the Barcelona superstar.
Messi retired from international duty in the wake of Argentina's Copa America final loss to Chile in June but made himself available for his country again after holding discussions with Bauza, who replaced Gerardo Martino after the Albiceleste's third tournament final defeat in as many years.
The 29-year-old attacker is currently sidelined with a groin injury and therefore unavailable for Argentina's clash with Paraguay on Wednesday, but his absence did not stop Bauza from speaking in glowing terms about his knowledge of the game.
